Joseph Miles Chamberlain papers, 1966-1968.
The collection consists of correspondence and administrative papers from Chamberlain's three years as assistant director of the American Museum of Natural History, from 1966 into fiscal year 1969. The collection consists primarily of typewritten or printed matter, with some handwritten memos and letters. Included are annual reports of various scientific committees and departments of the AMNH; correspondence and articles; budget reports, attendance records, administrative memos and style sheets, "irregular incident" reports, and letters from the public, with copies of the official responses.
