Pennsylvania State University Eberly College of Science records, 1881-2011.
The collection contains the records of the College of Science, its predecessors the School of Natural Sciences (1896), School and College of Chemistry and Physics (1953), and the Division of Industrial Research. The records of the college consist of faculty and personnel files, executive committee minutes, procedure committee records, nuclear engineering programs literature, materials related to science teaching in high schools and colleges, faculty meeting minutes, and financial records. Also includes research publications, translations of scientific papers, conference papers, recorded lectures, research reports, laboratory ledgers, program reviews, administrative reports, and correspondence concerning product samples.
The University of Pennsylvania College of Science has formerly been called: the School of Natural Sciences (1896), the School and College of Chemistry and Physics (1953), and the Division of Industrial Research. The College of Science currently includes the departments of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. Renamed the Eberly College of Science in 1990.
