Contains manuscript and typed letters, mostly from Wendell P. Roop, a student in the Physics Department at the University of California in Berkeley to his father, a businessman in Kansas City, Mo. Describes his activities and interests in school and discusses current world events.
At Berkeley, Roop was a research assistant interested in radioactivity and physics. After serving in World War I, Roop moved with his family to Washington, D.C., where he was employed at the U.S. Experimental Model Basin.
