The majority of the collection relates to Lind's experimental work with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration conducted while he was an astronaut. Included are background information, experimental data and recordings, correspondence, grant proposals, and subject files related to the Interstellar Gas Experiment, 1984-1990. Also included are records of the Solar Wind, 1967-1970, and Space Lab III (Auroral Observations), 1983-1987 experiments. A small quantity of personal materials and professional correspondence is included.
