Einstein, Albert, 1879-1955
Albert Einstein collection, 1913-1975 (bulk 1930-1955).
Consists of a wide range of miscellaneous material by or about Einstein: correspondence (original and photocopies), manuscripts and typescripts, photographs, drawings, articles and offprints, ephemera, and newspaper clippings. Correspondents include Hermann Broch, Charles Bradford, Henry N. Russell, Lyman Spitzer, William M. Whitney, Edward U. Condon, Isaac Aschkenazy, and William Karraker. Manuscripts include poems in German and in English, and an address delivered at Swarthmore College in June, 1938. The collection also includes several photographs and drawings of Einstein.

On the physics faculty at UniversittĖƒ Z rich (1905, 1909-1911); and at UniversittĖƒ Berlin, director, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Insitut f r Physikalische Chemie (1914-1933); and life member, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton (1933-1955). Nobel Prize-winner.
