Editors," North Madison, 1859 Dec 3, describing his sighting of a meteor on November 15; and a brief description, written in manuscript in an unidentified hand, of a sighting of a meteor by Horatio G. Broome in the vicinity of Colchester, Connecticut, 19th century. Also present is a report on observations of stars made to determine the latitude of the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, written in manuscript in an unidentified hand, 19th century.
