The Lawrence Maxwell Krauss papers, 1989-2005.
The Lawrence Maxwell Krauss Papers consist of both edited and unedited drafts of five books which he has authored, as well as an audiotape version of one of those books and its accompanying (edited) abridgement from the original work. There is also a small correspondence folder, consisting of two letters written to Les Copley and Jim Hardy at Carleton College. Manuscripts included in this collection are: "Fear of Physics: A Guide for the Perplexed," "The Fifth Essence: The Search for Dark Matter in the Universe," "Physics of Star Trek," "Atom: An Odyssey from the Big Bang to Life on Earth...and Beyond," and "Hiding in the Mirror: The Mysterious Allure of Extra Dimensions." Subjects covered in these manuscripts include: cosmology, dark matter (astronomy), Stephen W. Hawking (who wrote the forward to "The Physics of Star Trek"), life on other planets, physics, space flight, space sciences, and the Star Trek television program.
(1954- ) Education: Ph.D., Physics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1982). Professional experience: Case Western Reserve University; Harvard University; Yale University. He is the author of over 200 scientific publications and popular articles, as well as six books, the most well-known of which is "The Physics of Star Trek."
