Walter Owens student notebooks, 1878-1881.
This collection contains four notebooks compiled by Owens while a student at the University of Missouri, 1878-1881. Volume two contains 144 pages of notes on physics lectures given by Joseph G. Norwood. Each lecture is numbered and dated. The notes are in a narrative style.
Walter E. Owens was born in Clinton, Henry County, Missouri. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Missouri in 1881. After graduation he returned to Clinton to practice law.
