The Physical Review [sound recording]: recordings of performances by the Harvard physics department, 1951.
These recordings preserve a portion of a musical revue staged by the Harvard University Department of Physics. In January of 1951, Dr. Lewis Branscomb organized the performance, with the assistance of Munro Edmonson, Tom Lehrer, Norman Ramsey, David Robinson, and Robert Welker. Each song has a physics theme, and is set to an existing popular tune or an original piece written by Lehrer. This show was orginally performed on January 13, 1951 for Dr. Branscomb's introductory physics class, as a celebration prior to the final examination. The show was so popular that it was repeated on January 22 and May 26, 1951.
