Includes the following items: 1) a report to the Senat from the faculty of the Academy of Science signed by Prof. I. N. Delil', I. G. Gmelin, I. Veitbrekht, G. F. Miller, P. L. Lerua, G. V. Rikhmann, V. K. Trediakovskij, and Lomonosov, dated 15 December 1745, about the formation of the Chemical Laboratory in St. Petersburg. There is a colored picture of the Laboratory made by Lomonosov appended to the report; 2) "Naiviashchego primechaniia dostojnye elektricheskie opyty" ("The electric experiments, most deserving attention"); and 3)"Ob"iasnenie na trebovanie iz Gos. Admiraltejskoj kollegii o vrede chervij, iz'edaiushchikh dereviannye chasti sudov, koi pod vodoiu, v Kronshtadskom porte i chem cie otvrashchat' dolzhno" (approximate: "In reply to the inquiry of the Collegium of the State Admiralty on the harm being done by worms which eat the wooden parts of ships, that are under the water, in Kronstadt port, and how could it be prevented").
