The accession includes data, calculations, typescripts of scientific papers, reports on research and correspondence documenting the scientific work and life of Nelphi Willard Cummings who was a graduate student and later an assistant at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography during the period 1919-1922. Cummings worked with George Francis McEwen.
