There are also memorabilia concerning Salmon's life and contributions gathered in the year following his death. Wesley C. Salmon was an American Philosopher of Science. He made major contributions to the concepts of scientific explanation, causality, and the nature of induction and probability. He was a professor at Indiana University, University of Arizona, and the University of Pittsburgh.
