At a NIST Colloquium held June 11, 1993 at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Mr. George Cressman, director (retired) of the National Weather Service presented a lecture about predicting the development and movement of atmospheric systems, a complex problem in physics and mathematics. He also presented a historical account of this development.
