The Scientific Council on the Complex Problem "Perspective Accelerating Complexes and New Methods of the Accelerating Charged Particles" of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the State Committee on Atomic Energy (GKAE) was founded on 20 October 1967 as the Scientific Council of the Academy on "Problems of Accelerating Charged Particles." It was renamed and subordinated to Russian Academy of Sciences and GKAE in 1990. Its chairmen were: A. L. Minz, 1967-1974; A. A. Vasilv̌ (since 1974).
