Documents kept by an engineer working under Sir Bernard Lovell at the Telecommunications Research Establishment (TRE) on the development of H2S and ASV3, early radar systems, and giving in particular a daily record of the initial stages of research which culminated in the introduction of H2S into the Pathfinder Force of Bomber Command and into Coastal Command to combat the growing U-Boat threat during World War II.
