Sir Basil Schonland papers, 1916-1944.
Papers relating to his service as a Captain in the RE (Signals) in France, 1916-1917, including copies of intercepts of German and British military telephone and wireless conversations prepared while he was Wireless Officer, 1st Army, and correspondence and reports from his Second World War service as Superintendent of the Army Operational Research Group, 1941-1994, and as Scientific Adviser to C-in-C 21st Army Group, 1944.
Physicist and Fellow of the Royal Society. He died in 1972.
