The Copenhagen interpretation [videorecording] : science and history on stage / 2002, March 2.
Program recordings of "The Copenhagen Interpretation: Science and History on Stage," a symposium held at the Baird Auditorium in the National Museum of Natural History of the Smithsonian Institution on March 2, 2002. It explores the scientific, historical, and theatrical aspects of producing the play "Copenhagen" (by Michael Frayn), and about the relationship between Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg during World War II. The symposium was in three sessions: (1) The Science of Copenhagen and its Influence on the 20th Century, with speakers John Marburger, Jerome I. Friedman, Lene Vestergaard Hau, Richard Rhodes; (2) Bohr and Heisenberg: a Strong Interaction, with speakers Jeremy Bernstein, Jochen H. Heisenberg, Finn Aaserud, Vilhelm A. Bohr; (3) Theater as Science -- Science as Theater, with speakers Thomas Powers, Paul Lawrence Rose, followed by a panel discussion with Lloyd Rose, Steven Barfield, Jennifer Uphoff Gray, and Elizabeth Ireland McCann.
