Untersteiner, Norbert, 1926-
Oral history interview with Norbert Untersteiner, 7 October 2000.
Includes discussion of his work in the Arctic and at the North Pole during the IGY with the northern hemisphere glaciology program at Ice Station Alpha. Became director of AIDJEX (Arctic Ice Dynamics Joint Experiment) after it was launched in 1975; returns to University of Washington in 1980 where he converted the AIDJEX staff into the Polar Science Center at the Applied Physics Laboratory.
