Includes files from various AAS DDA secretaries, including Alan Fiala, as well as Ray Duncombe's speech on the founding of the DDA. Also includes photographs, electronic files from web pages, and audio recordings of speeches and early meetings of the DDA.
The Division on Dynamical Astronomy, within the American Astronomical Society (AAS), was formed in 1970. The object of the American Astronomical Society Division on Dynamical Astronomy is the advancement of all aspects of dynamical astronomy, including celestial mechanics, solar system dynamics, stellar dynamics, the dynamics of the interstellar medium and galactic dynamics, and coordination of such research with other branches of science.
