Mostly undergraduate notebooks, 1931-1932, with inscriptions identifying topic and occasionally the lecturer. Includes 'Electrodynamics, Dr. J.D. Cockcroft' and 'The Kinetic Theory of Gases, R.H. Fowler'. Also records of Kempton's own teaching at Cavendish from 1956 to the 1970s. Also includes a substantial typescript of lectures on 'Statistical Thermodynamics' given by Erwin Schrd̲inger at the Institute of Advanced Studies at Dublin in 1944; a typescript set of notes of lectures delivered at Los Alamos in 1943 by F. Bloch, E. Segre, E. Teller and V.F. Weisskopf.
