Includes material concerning his invention of the maser in the 1950s and his work as a member of the President's Science Advisory Committee and with the US Department of Defense during the John F. Physicist at the University of California, Berkeley. Designed the first maser and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1964.
