Everett (1831-1904) taught in schools and then studied at Glasgow, B. A. 1856, M. A., 1857. Professor of mathematics in King's College, Windsor, Nova Scotia, 1859-1964. Professor of natural philosophy, Queen's College, Belfast, 1867-1897. F. R. S., 1879. Wrote on dynamics, light, and sound. He died in 1904.
