Collection 87-37 (1950-1966): Papers of mathematician Rudolph Preisendorfer, a researcher at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Visibility Laboratory. Subjects include hydrological and environmental optics, radiative transfer theory, irradiance, light fields, invariance, toroidal plasmas, and the Visibility Lab.
Collection 95-13 (1959, 1965-1968): Includes manuscripts of papers on hydrologic optics and radiative transfer written by Preisendorfer and Seibert Q. Duntley.
Collection 83-59 (1954-1970): Lecture notes taken by Rudolph W. Preisendorfer while he was a researcher at the Visibility Laboratory and lecturer in the Department of Oceanography during 1954-1965, and at Naval Postgraduate School in 1970. Subjects include transient radiant flux problem; sets, relations and number systems; mathematical logic; harmonic analyses and stochastic processes; and calculus.
