Collection consists of correspondence, memoranda, minutes, reports and publications concerning women at M.I.T. and women in science. Collection includes material on M.I.T. Women's Forum, M.I.T. Ad Hoc Committee on the Role of Women at M.I.T., Committee on Women in Physics of the American Physical Society, National Research Council Conference on Women in Science and Engineering, and Women in Science and Engineering.
Born 1928. Professor of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1963. Kistiakowsky has conducted research in the field of experimental nuclear physics, experimental high energy physics and astrophysics. She is a fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a memeber of Phi Beta Kappa. She was elected to the Council of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (1987-1989) and to the Senate of Phi Beta Kappa (1989-1992).
