Cassette copy of speech given by Shirley Jackson, who in 1973 became the first black woman to receive a doctoral degree from M.I.T. She delivered her keynote speech at a dinner commermorating the sixteenth summer of Project Interphase, a program to help minority students develop mathematical and verbal skills.
