Manuscript notes and drafts, many heavily revised, for books projected but not completed by Hartree as single author or in collaboration; notes for a course of lectures on Partial Differential Equations to be given in the University of Cambridge and notes taken by Hartree of lectures given by A. M. Turing 1946-47; and xerox copies of letters, or notes of letters from Hartree to Edward V. Appleton. Additions to the collection consist of correspondence between Hartree and R. Bruce Lindsay, 1935-1939, and a personal memoir of Hartree written by his daughter, Margaret Booth.
