Paul G. Watson electron tube collection, 1963-1965.
Contains six volumes labelled "Historical Notes concerning the Invention and Early Development of the Electron Tube." The volumes contain copies of manuals, catalogs, correspondence, photogaphs, and lists of manufacturers, assembled by Watson and dealing with the history of the electron tube.
Watson (1900-1966). United States naval officer and collector of electron tubes and material documenting them, donated a large collection of electron tubes to the Smithsonian in March 1964.
