Correspondence, manuscripts, and bibliogrpahy. The papers, primarily correspondence (bulk dates 1923-1938) relate in particular to quantum theory. Also included is a summary of an article by Niel Bohr on quantum theory (1923), an application for a Guggenheim fellowship (1929), and a bibliogrpahy on, and conclusions of the new quantum mechanics (1928). Correspondence include: Raymond T. Birge, Max Born, Charles G. Darwin, Paul Dirac, Paul Foote, Edwin C. Kemble, Hendrik Anthony Kramers, Ralph Kronig, Robert S. Mulliken, W. H. Rodenbush, Arthur E. Ruark, and John C. Slater.

(1934-1951); dept. chair (1945-1949); dean of engineering and applied physics (1951-1957); and emeritus and professor of mathematics and natural philosophy (1969-1980); and head of theory group, Radio Research Laboratory, Harvard University (1943-1945). Died 1980.
