Hans H. Jaffe papers.
The major portion of the Jaff ̌papers consists of files transferred from the Gould Materials Research Division, including some records from the Clevite period. The collection also includes a complete set of his scientific papers, patents and talks (mostly unpublished) and Jaff'̌s personal library.
Jaff ̌(1909-1977). Physicist (physics of crystals). From 1940 until retirement in 1974, Jaff ̌directed research in piezoelectric crystals and ceramics at the Brush Development Company and its corporte successors, the Clevite Corporation (1953-1969) and Gould, Inc. (1969-1974). On his retirement, a number of his group formed their own company, Cleveland Crystals, with Jaff ̌as active consultant, from 1973.
