Scientific papers; working papers; correspondence; biographical documents. Scientific papers on physics include manuscripts on physics of fluids and gases, x-rays, and spectrum analysis, and lecture courses on electromagnetic theory and spectrum analysis (1889-1916); seismological papers include much unpublished and draft materials on observations, instruments, seismological waves, and descriptions of earthquakes (1902-1916). Working papers include records of lectures given at the Naval Academy on mathematics, mechanics, astronomy, and geodesy (1884-1886), and at Strasbourg University by Reye(?) and Christoffel on mathematics. These papers also document Golitzyn's activities in the Physical Laboratory of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR; on the seismological commission of the Academy of Sciences; at the seismological laboratory at Pulkovo Observatory; at Moscow University (1891-1893); at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1894-1910); and an expedition to study a solar eclipse (1896). European correspondents include: A. Belar, B. Berloty, G. Bigourdan, K. Haussmann, L. Geiger, R. Kv̲esligethy, O. Klotz, J. Milne, C.G. Knott, C.R. Rizzo, A. Schuster, E. Tams, S. Wzirtes, and C.
