Topics of scientific manuscripts include: mathematical physics, relativity theory, quantum theory (1919-1923), electrical prospecting of minerals (1926-1933). Lecture series includes Bursian's lectures on electromagnetic theory (1925) and thermodynamics (1918-1931); Fok's lectures on quantum mechanics (1928) and mathematics (1929); and Frederick's lectures on relativity (1920). Seminar topics are general relativity(1923) and quantum mechanics (1926-1927). Collection also reflects Bursian's activities on the geological committee on electrical prospecting (1928-1933); and includes biographical materials such as a vitae, bibliography, autobiography (1934), and photographs. Also included is a biography of Russian physicist L.S. Kolovrat-Chervinskiy and several unpublished manuscripts by other scientists, among them V.A. Fok and A.A. Fridman.
