The Irwin B. Abrams Collection on Air Quality measure 0.25 linear feet and date from 1972-1978. Included are studies related to air quality measurements across the United States, system proposals for implementing air quality monitoring systems, and workplace manuals.
Meteorologist; Lieutenant Colonel with USAF-ETAC. Irwin Abrams was a meteorologist that served in the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. Following his graduation from Washington Square College at New York University, he was commissioned into the air force and joined the meteorology program to become a Weather Officer. His work in the military frequently focused on forecasting. He became an expert in radar meteorology and satellites, developing forecast techniques and simulations. Abrams eventually transitioned to the private sector.
