The Center for History of Physics, a division of the American Institute of Physics, features the exhibit entitled "Andrei Sakharov: Soviet Physics, Nuclear Weapons, and Human Rights," prepared by Gennady Gorlik. The Russian physicist Andrei Sakharov (1921-1989) created the Soviet hydrogen bomb and later became a defender of human rights and democracy. This exhibit highlights the life of Sakharov.
