Abstract

Julian Cole was the Margaret Darin Distinguished Professor of Applied Mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1982-1999). His other institutional affiliations included University of California at Los Angeles and California Institute of Technology. His research specialties included aerodynamics and transonic flow.
