Jaipur Observatory Sundial

This great sundial at Jaipur, India, was built around 1730
for the Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II.
Called the Jantar-Mantar (Sanskrit for "Magical Device"),
the instrument was modeled on one at Samarkand
