The collection consists of organizational papers of the Argonne Universities Association and also includes contracts, meeting minutes, committee files, correspondence, reports, proposals, and papers relating to the Argonne National Laboratory.
Argonne Universities Association was formed in 1966 by 26 universities to manage Argonne National laboratory (Lamont IL). Its predecessor, Associated Midwest Universities, formed in 1958, grew out of a council of participating institutions that were associated with Argonne National Laboratory.
