The Congress, sponsored by the American Institute of Physics and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics, in cooperation with the Conference on Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, was held in Boston and Cambridge, Mass. in September 1967. Traditionally convened every three years, this was the first time an international magentism conference was held in the United States.
