Series of 6 lectures on the "Principles of Astronomy" 1895; series of 2 lectures on "The Elements of Mechanics" ca. 1894 (25 and 22 pages); paper submitted to Section E, Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science 1921 entitled "Projection of World Maps".
Astronomer and geographer. Young, with a BA from Cambridge University, moved to Hobart, Australia in 1891 for his health. He supported the newly founded University of Tasmania and served on the council 1919-1921 and 1923-1927.
