Paulikas, George, 1936-
George Paulikas papers, 1960-1985.
The papers of George A. Paulikas contain professional correspondence, chronological files, and a few books from his years with national security space systems and surveillance at the Aerospace Corporation (1960-1985). He contributed to the Defense Support Program, the Defense Satellite Communications System, the Global Positioning System, and the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program.
M.S., University of Illinois; Ph.D. (physics), University of California, Berkeley. In 1961 he joined the Aerospace Corporation as a member of the technical staff and worked his way up over the course of 37 years to become an executive vice president. He contributed to developments in space telemetry, space radiation, space military surveillance and space navigation. He transitioned from scientist to administrator in the late 1960s, and retired from Aerospace Corporation in 1998.
