The records of the university faculty include inactive personnel dossiers, 1925-1985; Faculty Senate records, 1965-1985; faculty convocations, 1965-1985; faculty lists, 1841-1985; and articles published by the faculty. Also included are the collected papers of some faculty members, most notably, Dr. Victor Hess, awarded the Nobel Prize for physics in 1936 for discovering cosmic rays, and Rev. Harry J. Sievers, S.J., historian and author of the three-volume work on President Benjamin Harrison.
