In 1953, the International Council of Scientific Union's Joint Committee on Rheology evolved into the International Committee on Rheology (ICR). The purpose of the ICR is to represent the interests of organized groups of rheologists and of individual rheologists throughout the world with respect to the international aspects of exchange of information, dissemination of knowledge, and the development of the science of rheology. It is comprised of 27 member societies that meet every four years at International Congresses on Rheology.
This collection consists of records of the International Committee on Rheology (ICR) from 1970 to 2016. It includes files on some of ICR's member societies, ICR congresses, newsletters, correspondence, and organizational information, including by-laws.
